| Fitting The adjustable styles are easier to adjust without the sandal on, these styles feature straps that pull through underneath the leather sole and can be adjusted to fit simply by pulling the straps through until the toes are held firmly. The straps may feel a little stiff at first but with wear will soften and mould themselves to the contours of your feet. | ||||||||||||||||
| Preservation The working life of the sandals can be greatly extended by applications of leather dressing, such as GE-WY or Dubbin, every few months. Follow the manufacturer's instructions, and apply the dressing to both sides of the leather straps. With the adjustable strap styles temporarily move the main and heels straps to reach those sections normally hidden. Leather dressing is usually available at saddlers and leather merchants. | ||||||||||||||||
| Moisture Like most leather footwear, Kix sandals should be protected from moisture. Salt water is particularly harmful and can result in a chalky, salty substance appearing on the leather. If they do get wet, they should be thoroughly dried and treated with leather dressing. | ||||||||||||||||
